If your accounts are protected by weak passwords, like names or birth dates, someone can steal them without too much difficulty. On the other hand, long and complex passwords are easy to forget. To solve this dilemma, you can use a personal information manager to store your login credentials in a secure database. My Data Keeper can meet all your expectations when it comes to managing and securing sensitive information. You can store email addresses, web links, passwords and many other details.

The software is free to try, with a few limitations. It comes in a small package and it can be installed in a few moments. You can use the program on any modern Windows version, without wasting any resources.

You may create one or more databases, known as books, on a home interface. To create a database, you must specify a username and password, your email address and set up a security question. When you open a book, the software will load a different interface, on which you can store your personal information.

Accounts can be created on the left side of the window and you can store various entries, for the selected account, on the right side. Records are defined on a separate window. Depending on your settings, a record may consist of plain text, a username, password, email or web link. Based on your selection, the software will make different options available, on the same window. For example, if you set the record type to password, you can bring up a password generator, to create a long and complex password.

Once you store your information, you may select individual entries and use different options to launch stored web links or send a message to your saved email addresses. It is also possible to copy an entry's value to the clipboard. Furthermore, My Data Keeper comes with a value binding feature, which relieves you from typing your usernames and passwords or copying them to the clipboard. Even if someone is watching you, he or she will not be able to figure out what information you insert when you log into an account.

Pros

You can store and protect any information about your online accounts, in a secure database. The software's value binding feature will prevent anyone from seeing your passwords when you insert them. My Data Keeper's interface has a simple design and its options are easy to understand.

Cons

The trial version comes with a few limitations. You will never have to worry that someone may steal your passwords, while using My Data Keeper.
